Notice Soliciting Contributions

In the past years, glass electric melting technology has made so great progress in china that nearly two hundred glass electric melting furnaces built in china. With the influence of national policy of saving energy and protecting environment, the further progress would be made.

We successfully organized “National Special Conference on Glass Electric Melting Technology” in 2002 and 2004, and made great effect in glass industry.

With the development of various glasses and increasing requirements of glass quality, it is extremely important to improve glass electric melting technology and enhance international communion.

Subjects of the symposium

The （ISAGMT）symposium will focus on study and application on Glass Electric Melting Technology and Related Materials and Control Systems etc.

Topics for the symposium

1. Electric Melting Technology and its application, including all-electric melting technology; mixed-energy melting technology; electric-boosting melting technology; electric-heating forehearth technology etc.
2. Pure-oxygen combustion technology, Oxygen firing technology and related technology;
3. Heating Material, including tin dioxide electrode; molybdenum electrode; MoSi2 heating elements; SiC heating elements etc.
4. Related refractories , including Fused AZS refractories; insulating material;
5. Control Systems, including development and application for glass metal level control system, water control system, electronic control system, etc.

We solicit for scientific/technological contributions relating to the above topics, the contributions selected will be published in the proceedings of the symposium; provided that the authors register in the symposium and present their contributions on time.
Papers can be written in English-,Chinese.
Accepted papers should be original work not be published.

Papers evaluation process

Submission of proposal:

Please send an abstract in one page maximum with 5 key words of your paper to us before May.1, 2008 by E-mail, indicating the names of the authors, the institution the authors work for , and the country of origin, the topic, the viewpoints and methodology mentioned by the authors.

The complete text should also be sent to the Organization Committee before the July.1,2008, The complete text must range between 5 and 10 pages, including the tables, graphs, appendices and the bibliography. The notes will have to be limited to bare essential and shall appear at the foot of the page.

For page-setting, please use margins of 2.5cm, the text in Times New Roman 12, line space 1.5, justified on the left and on the right. The tables and figures will be inserted in the text. The words in a foreign language must be formatted in italics. We recommend avoiding the use of bold and underlined characters.

Return of evaluations:

Notification of acceptance of the paper before: Aug.15,2008.
Acceptance and evaluations are based exclusively on the scientific quality of the papers, their relevance and coherence with the subjects of the Symposium.

The final version of the text in Word format for PC should be sent to the Organisation Committee by E-mail before Sep.1,2008:
